Guyana Extractives Industry Transparency Week.
A virtual Guyana Extractives Industry Transparency Week (GEITW) from June 7-11, 2021. This one-week event is focused on bringing together government, industry, civil society organizations, journalists, and the general public under one forum to discuss Guyana’s ongoing pursuit of good governance and transparency in the extractives sector. Key areas of discussion and knowledge strengthening will focus on the role of transparency in Guyana’s extractive sector, key international and local legislation aimed at championing mainstreaming and disclosure, as well as the important role of the GYEITI in monitoring and supporting change and reform for improved public access to information on the sector and its players.
